How EFT works
Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT is a way of helping to release negative emotions that are keeping us stuck or may even be making us ill; they can be at the root of physical issues, mild or serious. These trapped emotions can result in stress, phobias, addictions, cravings, fear of flying, anger issues, grief or trauma, whilst some of the physical effects can include chronic fatigue, allergies, bodily aches and pains and more serious physical illnesses or disabilities.
When EFT is successful negative trapped emotions are released, allowing us to move on from stuck patterns of thinking, feeling or behaving and sometimes resulting in the healing of connected illnesses or ailments. Some people experience these results as miraculous and life changing, allowing them mobility where they had become disabled, or giving them freedom from depression.
EFT is not just about releasing stuck emotions but can also be used to enhance existing skills and abilities and help us to realise our potential in many areas. If you are a musician, actor, broadcaster or public speaker and want to improve your performance, EFT can help. EFT can be used to enhance your confidence in exams, driving tests or job interviews. If you want to improve your relationships, EFT is also beneficial. EFT is sometimes called a universal healing aid because it has so many amazing applications!
During an EFT session you will be guided by the practitioner to tap on specific parts of your body whilst using certain phrases. These points are acupressure points connected to the meridians, or energy pathways in the body. Remarkably, tapping on these points whilst focusing on the underlying feelings you wish to change or enhance and with the help of your practitioner can clear these energy pathways and neutralise emotional triggers that have been preventing you from realising your full potential.
